A Kanban lady for you!!

I have been busy doing projects for The Craft Barn extravaganza which is at the end of June/beginning of July.  As I have to pace myself I thought I would get making a little while ago.  I am having  a great time playing with my Copics !!

So I thought I would share this lady with you today

She is one of the Kanban 'Moulin Divas - Tres Chic' girls.  Really nice to work with!!

I've coloured her with Copics and added some diecut and punched embellishments.

The little roses are die cut and then put together, great with Coredinations or Bazzill to keep everything matching!!

I'm sorry it is in my usual comfort colours but I have some more to show you which definitely aren't!!!!

It is my first time back teaching next week at The Barn, a Copic Masterclass, what else???  Will be nice to get back to a bit of normality!!

I am also taking a class on the Saturday afternoon of the extravaganza, again with Copics if anyone is interested.  I think there are a few spaces left.

Hope you like her,

Back soon,

Jane x

Helloooooo,

Hi everyone, sorry it has been so long since I have been here.  As many of you know I went into hospital for my reconstruction op and of course I had to be the difficult patient who caused lots of problems for my wonderful medical team!!!
Well hopefully, I am back and my blog like me is going to have a major overhaul and then I promise to do lots more here!!!!!
I did lose any interest in crafting while I was 'poorly' but I am getting back now and looking forward to The Craft Barn's Extravaganza at the end of June, body willing!!    I shall be demoing the wonderful Copics.  If nothing else, I can sit and colour, which I find very relaxing!!!
That's my excuse anyway!!

See you soon,

Hi

Well I said I would be back and here I am!!

I've been down to The Craft Barn today to see what was still in stock for
my classes on Saturday.  The shelves were looking quite sad after the busy weekend!!
But while I was there the boxes were arriving so it will be back to normal
very soon!!!!

Thought I'd show you the other wooden box that I decorated
for the Extravaganza.

  This again
was painted and crackled as yesterdays post but kept very simple with
a large organza ribbon bow and a few butterflies which were cut
from a Sizzix Movers and Shapers die.

The butterflies were put through an
embossing folder to add some dimension.  I then repeated the process with acetate.

I used a row of self adhesive silver gems to finish.

See you soon,

Jane x

PS   -   Ha ha Isabelle......it's not four months!!!

Hi everyone, just popped by to tell you about The Craft Barn's free postage on all UK orders until midnight Monday 31st and also that they have a fun Bank Holiday quiz with two £30 vouchers up for grabs. One for a shop entry and one for an email entry. So local ladies if you feel like a trip out over the weekend you can pop in or otherwise take part from the comfort of your armchair!!
I shall be there tomorrow demoing decopatch which is nice and easy to do. Using a paper which is a bit like tissue paper, you glue it on to whatever your project is and then add some more glue over the top. This gives a nice varnished look to the finished piece. You can use it on most surfaces and doesn't take long to do. Looks especially good on papier mache shapes that are so popular at the moment. I will take some pictures and show you next time.
Anyway, head on over to The Craft Barn Blog using the link at the side and have a go at the quiz. Good Luck to you all.

See you soon,

Jane xx

I am sorry not have posted for such a long time, I have been very busy with projects at home. The biggest being the wonderful Copic markers. I am so loving these pens!!! Yesterday I did my first demo with them at The Craft Barn and met so many nice people interested in using them. I think they will be very popular. I was kept very busy all day with colouring and airbrushing. There is nothing else that colours like them. I will post some pictures very soon.
I have also been busy with a scrapbook page that will hopefully be appearing in a magazine in a few months. Will let you know later.
Since my last post I have been lucky enough to have a card in Creative Cardmaking, a new magazine only available in craft shops and another card in Papercraft Essentials in their supplement.
The days seem to fly by and I can't believe we are already into March.

Thanks for looking, see you soon,

AHOY THERE

Its a long time since my last post, this is because I have been SO busy working for my classes, the club a friend and I run every week and working for The Craft Barn. Last Saturday The Craft Barn had a Christmas Fest with all the tutors demonstrating a variety of products. It was a very busy day with lots of very nice crafters to talk to, mince pies to eat and Winter Pimms to drink or non alcoholic drinks for the drivers!! Although the days of demos are hectic they are really good fun and you meet some lovely ladies/gents. On Monday I had class there with the wonderful Cuttlebug machine and I met some very nice ladies, 2 of which had travelled miles to come and spend the day with us. I have now got other projects on the go hence the blog name 'Anything but Housework'. What is housework anyway?

Well I thought I would show you a couple of cards that I made for a class I took a little while ago. One of my friends had these stamps and asked what I would do with them. The dinosaur has a head on a wire which wiggles and the pirate ship was coloured, cut out and put on a treasure map made for the card. Hope you like them!

Thanks for looking, see you soon.
